Born in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 3, 1995, Evan began his passion for film at a young age.  As he grew and began attending Aquinas High School in Augusta GA, Evan took a class on Film Appreciation which peaked his interest on the making side of films rather than just the enjoyment of watching them.  Soon, he decided to try his own hand at film-making. Moving from place to place and meeting new faces, the Cook family finally settled in Aiken, South Carolina in 2006 which soon became the inspiration for many of Evan's settings and concepts. Around the time he started his first production in 2011, he also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and has been a Boy Scout counselor at Camp Barstow in South Carolina for the past few years.

Evan was in a few plays in his youth such at his eighth grade musical, "Wipeout", and additional crew for the Aiken Playhouse's Youth Group Production of "Meet me in St. Louis" and the Aquinas High production of "Seussical the Musical". Evan got his first professional film credit as a Production Assistant for New Daydream Films' movie "Waiting for Butterflies" and is friends with directors Richard Clark Jr. and Kent Allen of New Daydream Films as well as actors Justin Wheelon and Jason Burkey.

For fun, Evan critiques films, writes screenplays and novels, and plays piano.
